Petite. Have weight issues(overweight that is). Funny (the last time I checked). Bad Words are part of my vocabulary. Obsessed with Hollywood hunks. Fierceee(high possibility..)
I feel like telling you in a detailed manner on the interview that I went this afternoon. As i said, it is very detailed , so bear with me aite. :)
The interview place was at the east area and I was told that it would be at 12pm. While I was on the way, the staff called me and told me that the interview would be held at 1230pm. Hmph!
Then came 1215, I was lost finding the office. The place is located at an area where formal clothes is unnecessary to wear for work. So yes, I feel uber awkward walking down the streets with my formal shirt and the mini heels.
While filling up the form in the office, I feel that the environment is kind of laid-back, so it really cool down my nerves that I had since morning.
But when it's time for me to meet the boss, I WAS WRONG. He look so Fierce, and I felt that anytime soon I could see steam coming out of his ears.
The first thing he asked me was my age. Then he flip through the form and the resume that i have submitted. He then asked me about my current job and whether I have attended any interviews while working at my current job. And i lied as I don't feel like wanting to have a conversation about the previous interview that I had.
And then he starts to say that I don't have the experience working in an office environment. So I tried to defend myself by saying that my internship might be able to consider an office job. But he he said 3 months is not considered as a good experience, and I gave him a face while he wasn't looking, hah :@
He then moves on talking about the job that I am applying for. What i had read in the job advertisement was that I would be an assistant to one of the executive. But the interviewer told me that I would be a HR assistant. TOTALLY DIFFERENT! And so he starts asking me about what I know about HR. I stuttered and I feel like a bimbo when answering this question as I was repeating my answers. :|
Following that, he decided to torture me by asking me about my computer skills. As I stated in the form, My excel and word skills were EXCELLENT. So he asked me about Excel and I can only give him VLOOKUP, SUM and ASCENDING/DESCENDING order as examples. He then decides to ask me to do some stuff on his excel and I think i did pretty a-okay :)
Lastly was the pay wise. He asked me how I come about in the monthly salary that I have chosen:$1,600. I lie a little more because I was never prepared with this question. But I think he understands the bullshit stuff that came out of my mouth. He said that I kind of asked too much, as I am inexperienced. (oh really?)
I really felt that I would get 2/5 for the interview, because I stutter alot and and repeat the answers many times. But I think because of my continuous smiling(CHEH!), he decided to offer me the job.
And he goes, "Siti You are a very cheerful person. Please keep it that way. So Siti, If I were to offer you $1.2K, would you take up this offer?" And of course, my mind immediately says, "SO LITTLE?!!" But I calmly replied, "I need to think about it" (and smile) Then he said while laughing(like finally, I can see his teeth!), "So if I were to offer you $1.6 you would take up the offer immediately?" And of course I said, "NO lah! I would still consider it, and (I start to talk crap to support my answer)"
He gave me until tomorrow to make a decision but I think I have already made up my mind, Thanks to my advisor's help, Ms Mastura. Mas highlighted to me, that with my current temporary job, I can almost get $1200 a month. So what's the use of switching to a job that is paying me almost the same salary. VERY TRUE.
But the company's business is something that I would never thought I would get a job in. I felt the company is running an awesome business because it handled with cars. And I have seen their work and it just remind me of Paul Walker, oh wait, I mean Fast and Furious,Hehe.
So yes, I am still actively finding a full-time job so that I could stop my "I NEED THIS STUFF" list from growing. And I hope a good job offer would come in no time, Insyallah
